PEORIA, Ill. – They didn’t use the word arson, but Peoria Firefighters say a late-afternoon fire to a home Saturday was intentionally set.
Crews went to the house near Millman and Westmoreland, where the fire was reported around 4:45 p.m. and were able to contain the fire to where it started in the home’s rear.
No one was believed to be inside at the time.
But the Peoria Fire Department K-9 was able to detect ignitable liquid on the scene.
No one was hurt.
