UPDATED 4:57 P.M.
PEORIA, Ill. – We are getting some answers about what happened toward the end of the day Wednesday at Manual High School to cause Peoria Police to have to respond to a large fight there.
The fight happened in the 2:00 p.m. hour, and a police spokesperson confirms officers responded and they did not make any arrests.
But, police also say pepper balls were deployed during the fight, but not by Peoria Police, suggesting that District-150 security did it.
District-150 superintendent Sharon Desmoulin-Kherat says in an e-mail to WMBD Radio News a student not at Manual came on to the property and attacked another student, causing two other juveniles to jump in on either side.
No word on injuries, nor on if any sanctions will be leveled against any of the students.
