PEORIA, Ill. – He’s been to town more than once, and he’s coming back. The Peoria Civic Center says a comic legend will bring his standup act back to the civic center theater .
So, what’s the deal with that???
“Every once in awhile you get one on a short-term turnaround, and you can’t believe it’s bopping in your building,” said Rik Edgar, General Manager. “September 13th, Jerry Seinfeld is coming back to Peoria.”
Edgar, made the announcement first on WMBD’s “The Greg and Dan Show.”
Edgar tells WMBD’s “Greg and Dan” Seinfeld is a “bucket list” show for him, even though he worked with Seinfeld the last time he was here in 2019.
“What was really cool, it was right around the holiday season, so we did have the feats of strength and the Festivus pole that we had in the lobby,” said Edgar. “You’ve never seen folks more happy to take a picture and selfies. It was a really good time.”
This show will be September 13th, so chances are the Airing of Grievances will not be included this year.
Tickets will go on sale to the public next Friday, at the box office and online.
