PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria County grand jury indicted a number of people in connection with a number of cases Wednesday.
(Pictured above) Jarquia Porter, 36, and Alexis Wood, 31, were both charged with felony Attempted Theft. The indictment claims on June 8th, Porter allegedly presented herself as another women at a local credit union, and then attempted to withdraw $190,000 from her bank account. Wood is accused of the same.
Porter is jailed on $25,000 bond, Wood on $50,000 bond. Both have pleaded not guilty. Both could go to trial in September.

A Peoria County Grand Jury is charging Jaylen Williams, 20, with one count of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Williams originally had been arrested on a number of charges after police were called to Lexington Hills Apartments in mid-June on a report of a man with a weapon. Officials say Williams was found, allegedly with a loaded handgun and an extended magazine on him.
Williams pleaded not guilty Thursday. He’s scheduled for trial November 6.

Toby Glisan, 46, was charged with a Class-Three Felony count of Intimidation. Glisan, the indictment says, either directly or indirectly told a woman that he was going to set her home on fire. Glisan was arrested after the indictment was filed, and jail records indicate he was also charged in a separate incident with Possession of Methamphetamine. He’s jailed on $200,000 dollars bond pending future court dates.
Jail records also show Glisan has been arrested in Peoria County no less than 40 times since 1994.
