EAST PEORIA, Ill. – A home in East Peoria caught fire at the height of Thursday’s severe weather.
Fire Chief Bobby Zimmerman says crews were called to a home on Campanile and Illini Drives, around 12:20 p.m. He says the family was able to get out safely, but two adults and “several small pets” will be displaced.
Damage to the home is estimated at $75,000.
It’s not clear exactly where the fire started.
