PEORIA, Ill. – Unattended cooking is being blamed for a fire at a house in Peoria early Saturday evening.
Firefighters were called to a house on W. Circle Dr. just off University just after 6:15 P.M.
The fire had started in the stove and extended to cabinets and walls in the kitchen.
It was put out just a few minutes after firefighters arrived on scene and contained it to the kitchen area.
There were no injuries.
Damage was estimated at around $20,000.
