PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police say they arrested a man who had been wanted, and now he faces other charges..
Police say they went to an area near Hightower and Martin Luther King, Junior Drive around 5:55 p.m. Wednesday.
When Police found Laharold Washington, 40, however, they say he tried to flee on foot. He was eventually caught, and a loaded handgun allegedly was found in the area.
It’s not clear why some of the charges were filed, but Washinton faces charges of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Phone Harassment, Possession of a Firearm without a Valid FOID Card, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis.
Jail records indicate the warrant was from Milwaukee, and he faces an additional charge of Nonconsenual Dissemination of a Sexual Image.
