PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria firefighters say a fire to an unoccupied home Monday afternoon was deemed an arson.
Fire crews say they were sent to a home on Indiana Avenue near Nebraska at 12:56 p.m., and saw fire coming from the second story.
The fire was put out in ten minutes, but not before some more heat and fire were found.
An estimated $60,000 in damage was done in the alleged arson — which was determined with the help of the new K-9 investigation dog “Molly.”
No one was hurt. There is no word on suspects.
