CHENOA, Ill. – Identities haven’t been released, but police in McLean County say a resident from Peoria was involved in am armed robbery Wednesday night at an Urbana car dealership.
Chenoa Police Chief Travis Cornwall confirms the resident was one of five people taken into custody early Thursday after a manhunt, and after they were caught in a stolen Volkswagen.
The car was believed to have been taken from the dealership.
25 News reports an employee at the dealership was pepper sprayed and threatened at gunpoint.
All five are jailed in McLean County.
