EAST PEORIA, Ill. – The Police Chief in East Peoria has called it a career.
Mayor John Kahl confirms Chief Rich Brodrick is retiring after 23 years.
Brodrick became chief almost three years ago.
Earlier in the day Thursday, WMBD News heard Tazewell County dispatchers announce Brodrick’s final sign-off, thanking him for his service and wishing him the best in his new life.
Kahl, meanwhile, tells 25 News the department’s two deputy chiefs will run the department starting Monday until the City Council can make a formal appointment.
