‘PEORIA, Ill. – A reward is now being issued in connection with the reported armed robbery of a postal worker in Peoria earlier this week.
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service says it’s putting up a reward of up to $50,000 leading to the arrest and conviction of two juveniles who allegedly help up a postal worker Monday afternoon.
It happened near Ayres and Western Avenues around 12:30 p.m. Monday.
One of the two allegedly got away with the worker’s mailbox keys before fleeing on foot.
One of the two pointed a gun.
The black juveniles were between five feet, eight inches tall, and five feet, nine inches tall, and were wearing facial coverings over parts of their face.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 1-877-876-2455 and say “Law Enforcement” and reference case number 4041851-ROBB.
The postal worker was not hurt.
