PEORIA, Ill. – A judge has ordered a Peoria woman to undergo a mental fitness exam after she was charged by a grand jury earlier in the week with a felony charge of Vandalizing a Mausoleum.
Court records indicate that order was filed Wednesday when Kendra Russell, 37, was supposed to be arraigned.
She’s accused of breaking a granite plate enclosing a man’s coffin at Parkview Cemetery off North University April 22nd.
The arraignment itself was delayed.
Russell is out of jail after posting bond. Another hearing is scheduled for June 29. She could face several years in prison if convicted.
