PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man who jail records indicate has been arrested a number of times since 2005 is in jail again — this time for a domestic incident that almost looked like an abduction.
Peoria Police say it happened around 12:40 p.m. Wednesday near Wisconsin and Arcadia.
Police say eyewitnesses saw Jeffrey Bailey, 37, force a female into a vehicle and drive away.
The vehicle, the victim, and Bailey all were found later at Detweiller Marina.
Bailey was jailed on charges of Unlawful Restraint and Domestic Battery.
The female suffered minor injuries.
