PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police say at least one person is injured after a Friday afternoon shooting on the city’s south side.
Police spokesperson Semone Roth says a ShotSpotter Alert came in at 3:08 p.m. near Griswold and Grinnell Streets of 30 rounds fired.
A victim had already been taken to the hospital by private vehicle by the time officers arrived, but officers learned the victim had a gunshot wound to the leg.
So far, no suspect information is available, and no word on the age of the victim.
