PEORIA, Ill. – An East Peoria man will go to federal prison for ten years after he tried to sell methamphetamine.
A federal judge Thursday sentenced George Guynn, 61, to ten years in prison after he pleaded guilty in November to Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute.
Court documents indicate Guynn sold almost 56 grams of meth in one sale, and 28 grams in another, in June and July of last year.
More than 45 grams of meth also was found under his bed in his apartment, and other meth-making items.
Guynn could have received up to 40 years in prison.
