PEORIA, Ill. – A building in the area of Peoria’s Warehouse District sustained some damage after a fire Thursday afternoon.
Peoria Firefighters were called to a building in the 1000 block of Southwest Adams, near Adams and Maple, around 12:30 p.m., where officials say fire could be found inbetween the ceiling and roof on the back of the third floor — an area where renovations were being done.
No one was injured, the fire at the back of that floor was put out quickly, and an estimated $25,000 in damage was done, including to the roof.
Officials say the fire was unintentional.
