MADISON, Wis. – A homicide charge is being filed in connection with a fatal crash in Wisconsin that authorities say killed a Peoria man.
Jesse Boley, 36, faces a charge of Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle.
The crash last Friday morning happened on Interstates 39 and 90 occurred, the Wisconsin State Patrol said, when Boley’s GMC pickup collided with an oncoming car.
25 News through sister station WMTV reports authorities have not not released the name of the victim, but he’s said to be a 58-year-old man from Peoria.
Prosecutors claim Boley was crawling away from his truck with the crashed, claimed he had both “not much,” and “not a drop” to drink in the hours prior to the crash, and had slurred speech and glassy bloodshot eyes.
Boley also faces a charge for driving on a suspended license, and a count of second-degree recklessly endangering safety.
