PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria-area business is laying off almost ten percent of its workforce.
Officials at Natural Fiber Welding say the ten percent layoff affects all levels of employment — the first time the company has had a layoff.
Company PR Manager Amber Robinson says the layoffs are being done as the company tries to get more efficient with costs and productivity, and be more streamlined.
It’s not clear how many workers are being impacted, nor how many workers total are being affected. Robinson did not have current employment levels at NFI.
