FULTON COUNTY, Ill. — National Weather Service survey teams spent Wednesday surveying tornado damage in several Fulton county communities.
The preliminary findings indicated a tornado on the ground for nearly 19 miles from 2 miles east of Ipava to 3 miles southwest of Canton.
25 News First Alert Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins says Lewistown and Bryant were hard hit with an EF-3 rating with winds of 160 miles per hour.
Preliminary findings also indicate a short track tornado of 2 miles from west of Table Grove to east of Table Grove. The tornado was rated an EF-1 which carries winds 110 miles per hour.
