PEORIA, Ill. – Incumbents on the Peoria Heights Village Board held off a tight race from their only challenger.
Elizabeth Khazzam, Sarah DeVore, and Brandon Wisenburg all won re-election.
Challenger Michael Casey fell 50 votes short in his attempt to unseat an incumbent.
The only incumbent running for re-election to the Peoria Park District Board retained her seat.
Joyce Harant received the most votes out of five candidates with 34% of the vote. The five candidates were battling for three seats.
Steve Montez and Reagan Leslie Hill will be new to the board after finishing at 20% and 19%, respectively.
Nicholas James Baker and Mark Berhow came up short in their election bids.
