PEORIA, Ill. — Central Illinois can expect two rounds of potential severe weather on Tuesday.
25 News First Alert Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins says the first round will happen after 4 p.m. into early evening hours, affecting areas mainly along and northwest of the Illinois River.
“We’ll get a few hours break before a line of thunderstorms move through during the overnight hours into Wednesday morning, giving most of us a chance of storms. All hazards will be in play: a couple of tornadoes, large hail, damaging winds and locally heavy rain (especially Tuesday evening),” Collins says.
