PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police are investigating an armed hijacking incident from early Monday morning.
Officers responded to the area of Knoxville and Arcadia Avenues just before 12:30 A.M. They found a victim who says he was approached by three males wearing ski masks. One of the three reportedly was armed with a handgun and demanded the victim’s keys.
The suspects then fled in the vehicle eastbound on Archer Street.
The vehicle was located by officers just over an hour later on North North Street, between Arcadia Avenue and Republic Street.
The victim was not injured.
