PEORIA, Ill. – Three people are in trouble with the law after weapons allegedly were found in the car they were in.
Peoria Police say they stopped a vehicle Tuesday night at 7:42 p.m. in the 1200 block of West Main Street that had two adults and a juvenile in it.
A search of the vehicle is believed to have resulted in the discovery of a stolen handgun with an extended magazine, along with another handgun with an extended magazine and a full auto switch.
Police say Damar Watts, 18, was arrested on five felony weapons charges, but prosecutors only charged him with Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon and was released from jail.
Rashaard Nunn, 23, ended up being charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Resisting an Officer, and a warrant, and also was released, according to jail records.
An 17-year-old male was also wanted on a warrant, and also faces weapons charges. It’s not clear if he is still in custody.
