DENVER, Col. – A shooting Wednesday at a high school in Denver has left two people injured, and a suspect wanted.
Denver Police said on Twitter the shooting happened just after 10 a.m. local time at East High School.
Denver Public Schools confirmed the two adults were faculty members, and have been taken to local hospitals.
Police say the suspected gunman is no longer on scene. He is described as a male black juvenile who is considered armed and dangerous. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms is also responding.
The school was on lockdown, but is planning a “controlled release” of students once police allow it. Students who drove on their own will be escorted to their cars and be allowed to leave.
