PEORIA, Ill. – At least one person was seriously injured when two vehicles collided head-on Thursday afternoon in Central Peoria.
Peoria firefighters responded to the crash just prior to 3:00 p.m. near Gale and Richwoods.
Firefighters say the driver of an SUV involved had to be extricated, while two people were removed from a mid-sized sedan.
The passenger of that vehicle was hospitalized with serious injuries, while the SUV driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the sedan refused treatment.
An investigation into the crash is continuing.
