BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – A Central Illinois woman is jailed after being accused of sending drugs to jail inmates.
Police in Bloomington say Sandra Lewis, 77, was arrested on Friday, charged with Manufacture or Delivery of over 200 grams of an amphetamine.
Authorities accuse Lewis of shipping amphetamines to “inmates at multiple correctional institutions.”
They say Lewis’ arrest came afte what they called a “lengthy investigation” by the Department of Corrections and Bloomington Police.
She’s jailed in McLean County on $200,000 bond pending future court dates. An arraignment hearing is scheduled for March 10.
