BRIMFIELD, Ill. – The Peoria County Coroner has identified the victim of a late-Saturday night crash near Brimfield.
Coroner Jamie Harwood says preliminary autopsy results on Beverly Furlong of Brimfield, 83, indicate she was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
The crash happened just before midnight Saturday night on U.S. 150, near the intersection with Route 78.
Peoria County Sheriffs Deputies say Furlong was traveling eastbound on 150 just before midnight when her SUV left the road several times, rolled over, and struck a sign.
Harwood says toxicology tests on Furlong are pending.
