PEORIA, Ill. — Fire destroyed a home in Peoria early Tuesday night, and it appears it was intentionally set.
Investigators said the fire on N. Linn Street, between W. Arcadia and W. Republic, was arson, causing $100,000 damage.
Fire Battalion Chief Jeff Hascall said two residents made it out before crews arrived around 5:45 p.m. They were displaced, but were uninjured.
Firefighters found heavy fire on the first floor, and spent over an hour putting out hot spots.
