Punxsutawney, PA (FOX News) — Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow Thursday morning, calling for six more weeks of winter.
Legend says if the groundhog sees his shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter, but if there isn’t a shadow spring is on the way.
Crowds gather each February 2 at Gobbler’s Knob in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania to hear Phil’s prediction.
This year marks Punxsatawney’s 137th Groundhog Day celebration.
According to 25 News, WildLife Prairie Park’s groundhog Gertie agreed with Punxsutawny Phil.
