CANTON, Ill. – Authorities in Fulton County say they put a man behind bars before he could attempt to have sexual contact with someone he thought was a minor.
Canton Police say Zachary Taylor, 29, was arrested late Sunday night on charges of Grooming, Indecent Solicitation of a Minor, and Traveling to Meet a Minor.
Police say he tried to solicit sexual acts with a 13-year-old female using the phone and the internet.
Authorities say they were led to Taylor by reports of a disturbance at a home that turned out to be the minor’s.
Taylor is jailed. No word on when he will be in court.
