PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria Heights man is so far pleading not guilty to charges accusing him of setting a home on fire about a month ago.
Skylar Walker, 32, entered the plea Thursday at arraignment on a charge of Residential Arson.
Walker is accused of setting a home on East Route Avenue in Peoria Heights on fire October 23rd.
Officials said at the time the fire caused “catastrophic” damage, as one floor collapsed on to another.
Homes on either side also were damaged.
Walker will be back in court for a hearing February 16th, ahead of a trial as soon as February 27th.
