PEORIA, Ill. – Juveniles are once again accused of committing vehicle-related crime in Peoria.
Peoria Police say four juveniles were arrested Friday evening after the city’s new license plate readers detected a stolen vehicle near Lydia Avenue and Humboldt Street in South Peoria.
The juveniles tried to make a break for it when officers spotted them near Logan Park, but were caught.
A loaded handgun was also found.
Three of the juveniles are being charged with Criminal Trespass to a Vehicle and Resisting Police, while the fourth faces charges of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Resisting Police, Aggravated Unlawful use of a Weapon, Possession of a Handgun Under 21, and Possession Without a Valid FOID card.
