BELLEVILLE, Ill. – The undefeated season continues for the Morton High School Marching Band.
The band says it picked up “Grand Champion” honors on Saturday at the Greater Saint Louis Marching Band Festival in Belleville.
The team won first place in its division, and also won Best Percussion, Best Music, Best General Effect, and Best Visual Effect.
Morton was one of eighteen marching bands to compete.
“I’m so proud of this band, and lucky to teach them every day,” said Tim Gray, Morton High School Director of Bands, in a news release.
Morton will wrap up what they call a “historic” season November 10th through 12th in Indianapolis, competing in The Bands of America Grand National Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium.
