WEST DES MOINES, Ia. – Grocery store chain Hy-Vee is recalling some products over concerns they may have been contaminated with Listeria.
The retailer says eight Saputo Cheese products, manufactured by Old Europe Cheese in Michigan, are being taken off the shelves voluntarily because of the potential contamination.
The cheese products had expiration dates ranging from September 28th to December 14th, and were sold at stores in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
That means they likely were sold at the two Peoria Hy-Vee’s.
If you bought them, you’re being asked to throw them out, or return them to Hy-Vee for a full refund.
So far, no illnesses have been reported.
