PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man is jailed following a fight early Sunday morning.
Police say Myriece Byrd, 20, was arrested following a traffic stop near Gilbert Avenue and Mission Road on charges of Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon Without a Valid FOID card.
Police say it started with a hang-up to 911 around 4:40 a.m. from a business near Knoxville and Maywood, at which a male claims he got into a fight with Byrd, and Byrd pulled a gun on him.
The traffic stop on Byrd’s car allegedly turned up a loaded gun with a full magazine.
Byrd is jailed pending an appearance in court.
