SPRING BAY, Ill. — Bond is now set for two people arrested in connection with an hours-long standoff that kept law enforcement busy in Woodford County earlier this week.
On Monday, a suspect identified as 34-year-old Stephen Werner allegedly robbed an Uber driver of cash and then fled responding police and barricaded himself inside his Spring Bay home.
His 28-year-old girlfriend Caitlin Brewer is accused of obstruction for allegedly lying to responding officers about Werner’s location as the six hour standoff continued.
According to 25 News, Werner’s bond has been set at $250,000 for a Class 2 Felony Robbery and Class A Misdemeanor Battery.
Brewer’s bond was set at $10,000 for Class 4 Felony Concealing and Aiding a Fugitive.
