PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police say a juvenile was arrested Saturday evening during what was termed a “weapons-related investigation.”
Police say they were conducting the investigation near Glen and Nelson in Central Peoria, when they found a so-called “ghost gun” with an extended magazine.
They say they later located a juvenile at a nearby business and interviewed, then arrested the male on charges of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Firearm Without a Valid FOID Card, and Possession of a Handgun Under 21.
His name will not be released, as he’s being charged as a juvenile.
The juvenile, however, was later released to his family, and not kept in custody.
