PEORIA Ill. – Peoria Police say they’ve arrested the man they believe was responsible for a homicide in the early morning hours of the Fourth of July.
Police say Raekwon Pickett, 22, was arrested Monday on a charge of First-Degree Murder and is jailed.
The shooting happened near Madison and Wayne around 3:30 the morning of the Fourth.
Quinton Scott, Jr., 19, was pronounced dead at a hospital about an hour later, while a juvenile suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say they discovered Pickett Monday near Wilcox and Maryland Avenues.
