EUREKA, Ill. – A Woodford County man has pleaded not guilty to charges accusing him of having sexual contact with a young girl several months ago.
Court records indicate Jose Emmett, 26, pleaded not guilty at an arraignment hearing Thursday to Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Emmett — who posted bond recently — has asked for a hearing through his defense attorneys to go over the terms of his release, which 25 News says includes not having any contact with minors.
Emmett allegedly had sex with a 14-year-old girl at his home in Timberline Campgrounds twice in June.
Emmett reportedly also worked there at the time, but it’s not clear if he still does.
He’ll be back in court a week from Friday.
