PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Public Schools has a new board president. Monday night, former Vice President Martha Ross was voted to move to the top spot.
Ross takes the place of now former Board President Gregory Wilson. Board member Mike Murphy will take Ross’s place as vice president.
Wilson was sworn back onto the board to serve District 2. Paris McConnell, a new addition to the school board, will also serve District 2.
All changes were approved unanimously by the school board.
Peoria Public Schools students head back to the classroom next week.
