PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police are just now releasing details about stolen pieces of heavy machinery from earlier in the week.
Police say a backhoe was stolen from the 2900 block of Southwest Washington Street, near Greenlawn, in South Peoria sometime prior to 11:22 a.m. Monday.
It’s described as a Case 590 Super N backhoe, and there were Saint Louis Cardinals stickers attached to the cab.

Police also say a skid steer loader was stolen from an area near Spruce and Southwest Adams Wednesday around 11:01 a.m., learning that the suspect fled prior to officers arriving. The skid steer loader is similar to the one pictured.
