Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood has identified the man hit by a truck the intersection of Allen Road and Willow Knolls Friday night as 58-year-old Gary Duncan, of S. Lydia Avenue, Peoria.
Harwood said Duncan was initially alert and responsive at the scene, but his condition rapidly deteriorated when he arrived at the hospital.
Duncan suffered multiple blunt force trauma injuries and died of catastrophic internal bleeding, Harwood says.
Toxicology tests are pending.

PEORIA, Ill. — An investigation continues following what turned out to be a deadly vehicle versus pedestrian collision in Peoria.
Police say it happened a little after 9:30 p.m. Friday.
Officers found a man lying in the roadway at the intersection of Allen Road and Willow Knolls.
The critically injured man was rushed to OSF, but officials there reportedly informed police the man had died at the hospital later that night.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the man has seemingly been cooperative so far, staying at the crash scene while police began their investigation.
PPD Traffic Officers are continuing their investigation.
