PEORIA, Ill. — A fire late Thursday night caused an estimated $125,000 damage to a Peoria pub and restaurant.
Peoria firefighters were called around 10:20 p.m. to Donnelly’s Pub on N. Rockwood Drive, where they found smoke coming from the roof of the building.
Fire Battalion Chief Lore Baxter said that the first crew on the scene worked to put out a fire coming from the hood vent on the roof. A second crew put out an additional fire in the kitchen.
The business was closed when the fire broke out. No one was injured.
Baxter said it took crews about 35 minutes to get the fire under control.
The fire was deemed accidental, but an investigator is still looking into the cause of the fire.
