PEORIA, Ill. – A Bartonville man is going to federal prison for about five years, after pleading guilty to a charge of Distribution of LSD.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Derrick Meyers, 24, was sentenced Thursday to 57 months in prison.
Authorities say Pekin Police began investigating after two people were hospitalized after using the drug in that city two years ago.
They say Meyers was well known to sell the drug, along with ketamine and MDMA or “Molly.” He allegedly sold the drug in July and August, including several liquid Lsd vials for $1,000.
Meyers could have faced as much as 20 years in prison.
