PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria County grand jury has indicted a West Peoria man on charges he murdered his grandmother earlier this month.
Records indicate the grand jury handed Cody Krause, 28, six counts of First-Degree Murder.
Krause was arrested April 14th after Peoria County Sheriffs Deputies responded to a home near Kim Moor Avenue and Airport Road on what was described as “trouble with a male.”
Glenda Rusterholz, 73, ended up being pronounced dead at the scene after allegedly being assaulted with a hammer.
Krause told investigators after the attack the voices in his head stopped after the attack, but that, “I became a monster.”
He’s jailed on $2.5 million bond and will be back in court Thursday.
