PEORIA, Ill. – At least one person was hurt during an early afternoon shooting Tuesday in Peoria’s East Bluff neighborhood.
Peoria Police were called to a home near Frye Avenue and Prospect Road just before 1:30 p.m. on a ShotSpotter alert, learning that ten rounds had been fired, and a victim had been taken to a hospital in a private vehicle.
The vehicle suspected of having a shooter in it — a dark-colored sedan — was found abandoned on Madison Avenue a short time later.
No suspects are in custody, and the victim has non-life-threatening injuries.
An investigation into the shooting continues.
