25 News reports that’s from a statement issued by OSF HealthCare, confirming the sale of property in Galesburg that was once Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
The hospital went into bankruptcy in January and all but completely closed, and the finalization of the sale comes almost two months after the two sides signed a letter of intent for OSF to purchase what was said, at the time, would be “the real estate, medical equipment, and other assets.”
Published reports put the former Cottage hospital site sale at $4 million.
OSF, when it announced the pending sale, said they do not plan on using the Cottage property.
