PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man will be sentenced in August after admitting in federal court to selling child pornography on the internet.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Kiantre Dykeman, 24, pleaded guilty Monday to Distribution of Child Pornography.
Dykeman reportedly admitted in court to advertising online in November, 2020 that he had over 1,000 pornographic images at various prices — using an online money transfer service.
“The investigation revealed that Dykeman in fact received payment via a mobile application money transfer service and, in turn, provided child pornography to a purchaser by sending images over a text messaging platform,” according to a news release.
Dykeman claimed he sold the images because he needed the money.
Sentencing will be August fourth. He could receive between five and 20 years in federal prison.
