PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man faces several charges for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting a woman last week.
Peoria County court records indicate Thomas Jackson, 54, is facing charges of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault, Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Domestic Battery, and Unlawful Restraint.
Prosecutors allege that Jackson held a woman against her will at his home on West Howett in South Peoria sometime between Tuesday and Thursday of last week.
He also allegedly hit and sexually assaulted the woman during that time.
Jackson — arrested last Friday — is jailed on $500,000 bond, and will be back in court for arraignment April 28. He is listed on the Illinois Sex Offender Registry for an assault when he was 25, and the victim was 26.
