PEORIA, Ill. – The name of one of the victims in Monday morning’s crash in East Peoria has been identified.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood has identified Heather Wagner, 38, of Mackinaw. She was pronounced dead just before 10 a.m. at a Peoria hospital, and an autopsy indicates multiple blunt force injuries are to blame.
The crash was reported about a half hour earlier on Muller Road, east of Springfield Road, and authorities believe Wagner’s car ended up in the front yard of a residence after rolling several times.
A 37-year-old male passenger was also taken to the hospital, but was able to escape the car.
An investigation into the crash is continuing. Harwood says a toxicology report on Wagner is pending.
